"Fukuno-kami" means "the god of happiness". Fukunokami is one of the oldest story in "Kyogen".
One day, two men went to a shrine to pray for happiness. Fukunokami emerged and said that “To be happy, you need costs”. The men asked the god “Does it mean money?”. Then, the god of happiness answered ‘No, tribute means your service to other, your mercy to other. In this case, why don’t you drink your Sake (Japanese alcohol) with me?”. The god laughed, danced and disappeared into mist.
