There was a long road, which across Rome on the east of world, to the Mediterranean sea, Persia, Pamir plateau, desert of desert of Taklamakan, Dunhuang, and Nara of Japan on the west of world, is now called the Silk road. By this road, the western manufactures (silk, china, etc) crossed Eurasia to the East, the eastern products (glasses, Buddhism, etc) crossed to the west.
This pitcher is made in inspire of a marble column in the ancient Oasis city that has been still left along the Silk Road. On the surface of jar, Yuki Hayama drew pattern of exquisite Persian carpet, image of flower, fruits, the sound of music those symbolized Oasis.
